Terms of use
Last updated 23 October 2026
These terms cover the Trippy app, the software on your Trippy, Trippy's online services (search, routes, accounts, updates) and this website. Trippy is made by Lucky Wamankar in Bangalore, India, under the name Flying Cactus Labs ("we", "us"). By using Trippy you agree to these terms. Buying a Trippy will have its own sale terms (price, delivery, refunds, warranty), published before anyone pays.
1. Ride safely. This comes first.
- Your eyes belong on the road. Trippy is made to be glanced at, like your bike's dials, not watched.
- Set your destination and settings before you ride. Don't use your phone, or fiddle with Trippy, while moving; pull over first.
- Follow traffic law, road signs and the police over anything Trippy shows. If a direction looks wrong or unsafe, ignore it.
- Mount Trippy firmly where it doesn't block your view, lights, controls or steering, and check the mount before each ride.
- Keep helmet audio at a level where you still hear traffic.
- Wear a helmet and ride within your limits and the conditions. Trippy can't see the road for you.
2. Directions and maps can be wrong
Routes come from OpenStreetMap data and our own fixes, and places from Google. Roads change, maps have mistakes, and GPS can drift, so a route may include a closed road, a wrong turn, a one-way street or a road unsuited to your bike. Times and distances are estimates. Don't rely on Trippy in an emergency or where getting lost would put you in danger. You can report map mistakes to us; we fix what we can.
3. Your account
You can use Trippy without an account. If you make one, you must be 18 or older, use an email you own, and keep access to it safe. You can delete your account at any time, in the app or at trippymoto.com/delete-account. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.
4. Fair use
Trippy's services are for your own riding. Please don't:
- use our servers other than through the Trippy app, or copy, scrape or resell their results;
- try to overload, break into or get around the limits of our servers or of other riders' Trippys;
- use Trippy for anything unlawful.
We may limit or close access for anyone who does, to keep Trippy working for everyone.
5. Software, updates and changes
We update the app and Trippy's software to fix problems and add features, and we may change or remove features along the way. Trippy's online services are free today. If we ever charge for something, we'll say so clearly first, and you choose whether to pay. If we ever have to stop a service, we'll tell you at least 30 days before, by email or in the app.
6. Other services Trippy uses
Place search uses Google, sign-in can use Google or Apple, and map data comes from OpenStreetMap. Their own terms apply to their parts. The full list of what Trippy is built with is on the credits page.
7. What's ours
The Trippy app, Trippy's software and designs, the Trippy name and the cactus logo belong to us. You may use the app and Trippy's software for your own riding. Parts of Trippy are open-source software, used under their own licences (see credits). If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely; thank you.
8. Liability
We work hard to make Trippy reliable, but its software and services are provided "as is", without promises that they'll always be available, error-free or right for every ride. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, or for harm that comes from not riding as section 1 says. Where we are responsible, our total liability for the app and services is limited to the higher of ₹1,000 or what you paid us for them in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under India's Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any other right the law doesn't let us limit.
9. Changes to these terms
When these terms change, we update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change matters. Using Trippy after that means you accept the new terms.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute can't be settled by talking to us, the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction.
11. Contact and complaints
